Meet the Founder: The Visionary Behind Throw Distance
I've spent much of my career working behind the scenes—sometimes quite literally.
Before my career in business operations, I was a theatre artist. I've worked as a performer, dancer, director, playwright, and lighting designer. I also spent more than a decade building and running my own creative business.
Along the way, I discovered that running a business and bringing a production to life have more in common than you might think. Both require vision, collaboration, communication, timing, and an understanding of how individual pieces work together to create something greater.

Today, my professional work focuses on operational strategy, business analysis, process improvement, systems implementation, and organizational alignment. I've led sales teams, managed complex business transformations, supported nonprofit leadership, and helped organizations rethink how work gets done.
What connects all of it is my fascination with how things work—and how to make them work better.
That's why I created Throw Distance.
In theatrical lighting, throw distance refers to the distance between a light source and the surface it's intended to illuminate. For me, it's also a fitting metaphor for business: there's where an organization is today, where it wants to go, and all the people, processes, systems, and decisions that determine whether it gets there.
Throw Distance brings together my creative background and operational experience to help organizations turn ambitious ideas into practical, sustainable ways of working.
I believe good operations should support creativity, not stifle it. Structure should create possibilities, not unnecessary obstacles. And strategy only matters when an organization can actually execute it.
That's the work I love doing. And that's what Throw Distance is all about.
Closing the distance between strategy and execution.
